Hi

Got a problem with VLC in W7. WMC and WMP are both fine, but when I open videos in W7 with VLC and shift the size of the window even slightly, the quality of the video degrades a lot and jaggies are evident. It happens with all video files. With Windows Media Player for example, I can resize the window to fit what else I have on screen and it stays looking sharp, but with VLC it goes blurry.

Does anyone else have this problem and a potential solution? Googled but nothing I understood came up.

I watch a lot of bluray (Mkv) files using Vlc and dont have any issues, although I am using the 32Bit OS, till 7 is released properly. I thought this would be the better option as I have seen a few errors in the 64bit version on other pc's mainly around graphics etc.
Have you tried Installing cccp "combined community codec pack" and / or Megacodec pack? it might help, although your most likely looking at Hardware incompatibility :/

same problem here with vlc and win7 x64. i think i am gonna install cccp and just use wmp to play mkv files for the time being.

I haven't noticed any VLC issues on my win7 machines..

you could always try using MPCHC and the FFDShow tryouts?

Sorry guys, forgot I had even posted this.

I installed Shark007's video codecs for and the latest VLC. One or the other resolved the problem, probably the former.

any player other than wmp and KM player in win 7 x64, all my avi files are blocky, cant seem to get the right settings, or dont know what to set, no problems in win vista x64

I have the same problem - but the added annoyance of WMP crashing when ever i try to make the play list pane showup.
