I'm looking to upgrade my 2407 to a 30", are they all in the £1000 bracket? I read some past threads and googled a Hazro 30", I guess they don't sell them anymore?

I'm not bothered about viewing angle or a perfect picture, it's mainly for stock trading/excel and games.

Nearly brought a Samsung SyncMaster 305T from overclockersSamsung SyncMaster 305T wheni saw it reviewed here on Trusted reviews, and had a very high rating. not sure why OcUK don't have this anymore (they did have it once), the 30" do seem a bit scarce ATM.

Recently I picked up a HP L3065 screen for £550 and then bought the stand and dual-link dvi cable direct from HP for £80. So all in just over £630.

The screen was part of the HP renew programme ( grade above refurbished ). Screen was perfect, no issues with the at all and very happy to get the monitor for what is essentially half price.

The only problem I have though is that to be honest 30" is too big for me. ( 2 x24" would have been better ).

( oh forgot to say that it's still in warranty till 2011 )

I spent a lot of time looking around at 30" monitors and yeah they all carry a huge price tag, the samsung is rated really highly, I have the LG W3000H which is really nice to use and doesn't have the huge scaler lag like most of the others. The dell 3008 gets mixed reviews as it has a fairly decent panel but the lag is quite obvious on it.
The res is nice to use, well worth getting if you can afford it.
