Editing Silent Hunter 4 on Windows 7

Hi guys,

Ive got the game running no problem, but am trying to edit some of the .upc files to change some of the features but despite the fact ive ensured that all the files have "read only" unchecked when I try to save the changes it comes up as access denied.

Any idea's?

Is it a possible feature of W7 like Vista had where it protected files in the default installation folder and if you wanted to edit stuff like that you needed to install it to a different drive or folder possibly?

He probably needs to be admin level to edit those files
Login using your admin account and try it
OR
Login as admin and add full file permissions control to the account you game under

Still think sh3 > sh4

Thanks guys I moved the file to my desktop and it worked no problem, I had all permissions but just seemed to be an annoying little quirk!
