recomend me a case for around £50 please

Nah the 300 simply is not worth 46 sheets of anybodies money. Ive built about 20 machines using it and hated every single one.

Its a £30 case at best and I dunno why people keep recommending it as it good budget case because it simply isn't.

For slightly more the Coolermaster CM690 offers far more space, practicality, better build quality, superior cable management and more fans placement options.

+ however many for the same reasons

the antec 300 may look ok in pics but its paper thin, everytime i pick one up am scared its going to warp

You have to be kidding :eek:

He's absolutely right mate. If it was sub £30 then I'd be saying 'yup its worth it' but when its pushing £50 its getting into a price bracket where there are a fair few cases of much higher quality.

It does look ok from the outside and I guess thats why folks insist on recommending it but when you actually put it side by side with the CM690, the antec feels like its made of baking foil.

Upon building in it, its a lottery as to whether you'll get your graphics card in and then it a further 24 hours deciding how and where the hell you are going to put all the cables cos there nowhere for them to go without taking a dremel to it.

Antec 300 is a solid case. Fantastic value, even for £45+

You won't find a nicer looking case for the money with great cooling.

Having looked at one in the flesh I'd have to say it's not as good as most people make out. I'd put it in the £35 region. There are other cases for the same or less money that are much better looking and of a higher quality. You just need to look for them.

Just got a CM690 today & I'm really, really impressed. Stock fans are dead silent when using a fan controller (and even without it's only the side fan that makes much noise). Keeps components very cool (my 4850 barely goes above 50 degrees on load compared to around 65 with my old case). Plenty of space inside and hard-drive installation is quick and easy thanks to the tool-less design.

Looks much better in person than it does in pics. The blue LEDs are a nice touch. Removing the front cover is a little tough the first time as you really have to tug at it, but it seems easier after that.
