I'm bringing together a spec for an i7 rig (DO stepping). thinking of going for the ASUS P6 deluxe V2 as mobo
I'm planning to OC it up to the 4Ghz it's meant to be capable of, but so far have only OC'd older Quad chips, and have never OC'd RAM.

From what I read the choice of RAM will heavily influence my ability to overclock this chip.

Not too keen on over volting RAM (scared) so am looking for some RAM that will get me to 4Ghz with minimum fuss
Like the look of the Dominator and the Trident.

All advice welcome please

Ahh, in the other thread i just chose the best out of the corsair range :p

I would go for the OCZ Set, you could easily get the I7 to 4.0GHz with these and i doubt you would even notice a slight bit of difference between these and the corsair unless you run benchmarking software where the corsair would give you a few extra points :p

Waste of money getting the corsair for your needs if you ask me :D
