Top 5 worst PC games ever played!

I dont really buy games that i havent tried first so dont often play stinkers.

I think the worst game i ever bought was State of Emergency on the PS2. So hyped, and so so bad.
 
Worst PC games I've EVER PLAYED?

Spec Ops.
Both ARMA games.
Ground Control 2- Ground control, but raped in the face.
Red Alert 3.

All I can remember is having a shotgun that shot a billion tennis balls all over and killed everything. :D
 
Oh come on. Far Cry 2 isn't that bad. I've moaned about it on here before but that's only because it wasn't the great game it could have easily have been. It's still an ok game though.
 
Farcry 2 -loved the first one so it was a major let down
Syndicate wars - Why?!
The Witcher - I hate games I can't freely explore in, awful combat, boring.
Bioshock - completed it, but it was painful. Some great ideas but they were too eager to show off fancy graphics.
World of Warcraft - It's less fun than being at work these days, was fine until the 2nd expansion.

That is a badly based opinion.
That is one of the greatest games of our time. Am i a fanoy? Yes i probably am, but for a good reason.

It's hard to think of the worst...heres some..

1) Farcry 2 - I want my money back..
2) WWF Warzone :)
3) RF online..
 
a lot of ppl are listing games that, although bad, did actually split gamers into either love or hate camps. Also, joking aside, I will echo what a few ppl have already said in that it is clear only popular games are being mentioned mostly.

If you want truly dire, you need to have been around a bit longer and be a gamer that experiments with indie stuff as well as mainstream. For example, the absolute worst game EVER on PC was probably Survivor: The Interactive Game - a game that didn't actually work at all. It was based on the TV show from a few years back and when it did actually work (after a patch) things would happen like the A.I would vote you off and you would lose the game...

There would also be situations where, due to **** poor programming, you wouldn't be able to proceed due to overlooks such as the crossbow range being too large for the range of the crossbow you fire. You couldn't move forward due to an invisible wall.

Another total shocker that no-one has mentioned was Soldner: Secret Wars: an fps game so bad that I wrote and called the publisher. I got hacked during the one MP game I went on and mission descriptions would literally be things like "go blow up some satellite in china".

I think many people mistake bad games for worst disappointments, either you are trolling/lying or you haven't played any truly bad games.
 
Rise of the Robots (Amiga) - Terrible! LEVELS DESIGNED BY AN ARCHITECT!


Spore (PC) - This game was just a pointless mess. Lets take gameplay mechanics from a decade ago from several genres and sequentially put them into our game! Okay, the customisation was impressive, but this is a game, not barbie.

Streets of Sim City (PC) - Good concept, terrible execution.

Battlecruiser 3000 A.D. (PC) - Promised Everything. Gave you cancer.

Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior (PC) - www.bland.com

Gods and Generals (PC)- Video says more than words ever can.


There are probably worse offenders out there, but I have had the absolute displeasure of playing all of the above. :(

Well I am basing this on the fact I lived with a FF fan for over a year and that was HELL. I was forced to play FFVII, told I would love it and I thought it was 'meh' at best. Couldnt be bothered to get onto the 2nd CD. To me, FFVII and all the rest of them are hyped up by fanboys. In reality they are average games at best.


Anyways, you really didnt read my post though. I included it in my 'List to sound edgy and cool'. I thought that what was we were doing in this thread. To me FFVII isnt the best game of all time. But its nowhere near the worst. My jab was at the folks putting down good games with reasons like 'It didnt live up to my hype'. Well thats your own fault, not the developers.
The first list I made was of games that were, in my eyes, truely bad. Poor on every level. Games that didnt appeal to anyone.

If you didn't get past the first CD you never experianced the best parts of the story, you only got loads of questions and never any answers, the storyline is what makes that game the best game ever created

This isn't a dig at you, at least i don't mean it to be but theres no other way to put it, but people who don't enjoy final fantasy tend to be the sorts that just enjoy mindless games that require no imagination or deeper thought process, obviously not everyone will like every game, i know that, it's easy enough to dislike the turn based system but to not like the characters and the story is just bizarre in my opinion

That's absolute rubbish but you are entitled to your opinion as much as anyone else tho..

Maybe i missed the FF7 boat when i was a kid because i wasn't in love with Japan and all the "manga junk" that many people succumbed to. I cant see anything dumber than Japanese stylized stuff with spiky hair, 7ft long swords and giant Balls with smiley cat faces on them ...

Its just a manga film story line linked together with appallingly boring repetitive turn based fighting.
Which if you like it im sure is good ....

Basically your saying "If you dont like FFVII, your too thick".

TBH, thats the kind of closed minded reply I was expecting. Ive seen this from quite a few FF fans. Somehow they cannot comprehend that there is someone out there that is equal to them not loving the game as much as they do.

And, face it. If after the first CD it had not 'grabbed me with its epic story, deep characters and out-of-this-world gameplay' then there is little chance that I would continue playing it.

Can't believe I missed Halo off my list, I couldn't believe how boring and bland it was, coupled with the fact that it performed very slowly considering how mediocre the graphics were.
 
5 worst games ive ever seen or played.

1 . world of warcraft (girly and just plain crap)
2 . assasins creed (slow and extremely dull)
3 . Call of duty 5 (**** poor)
4. Fifa (Everyone of them has been bad)
5. World of warcraft ( must be down twice for being that gay )
