The best PDF to Word converter

What is the best converter that accurately converts PDF to Word? At the moment I am using a free one but it messes up margins, text boxes and loads of other stuff. I am having to re-write PDF in Word from scratch as the free converts I have found dont do a great job.

I dont mind a paid product because it will be used for business documents

PDF to Word, meh - Is this not all done on a "visual represenation of the PDF" basis as opposed to a true reverse engineer of the PDF format?

Never looked into conversion this way before but I guess your mileage will vary considering one of the points of PDF is an (relatively) un-editable distribution format.
 
Do you mean Free PDF to Word converter 1.5? Thats what i used and whilst it was ok it messed up the general layout and formatting (overlapping text etc)
 
i do this a lot at work, i just use Adobe 9 standard to convert mine, although i have never found a program to do this flawlessly.

What i usually find easier is copying the text page by page and re-formatting it in word.
 
I have just tried another -

'GIRDAC PDF to Word Converter' seems to do a good enough job. It doesnt do all the stuff but at least its properly editable, unlike in hundreds of text boxes that need to be drag and dropped

Do you mean with adobe 8/9 standard you can copy and paste text from a PDF to Word document? We have 8 at work but not 9

Been using GIRDAC pdf to word converter. It does quite a good job and is better than using Adobe standard as standard converts text into boxes. Not tried copying and pasting but im guessing this only does text anyway

yes, you can do this with both 8 and 9, it depends on the quality of the text in the .pdf, if its a crappy photocopy scanned into a .pdf there can be issues with copying the text... but if its its a good copy, say a .doc that has been converted to .pdf its the easiest way i find.
