Radiohead released a song today as a tribute to Harry Patch who died almost 2 weeks ago and was the last remaining British survivor of World War 1.

Listen here.

and a short review.

And you can buy it for a quid here with proceeds going the Royal British Legion.

Song is awful, was kinda disappointed as I love Radiohead. Although I guess it's more about the cause, and it is a good one and it gets my quid.

I don't think the song's terrible at-all. Kind of reminds me of Amnesiac, and it's a nice tribute, with a strong message.

I'm a big Radiohead fan but Thom's voice let me down on this track.

It was all done in a single live take though. And the strings are lush.

I also didn't realise that the "lyrics" directly quote Harry Patch.

Radiohead have undoubtedly made some of the greatest and most emotionally moving music ever heard by human ears. However, Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief are easily two of the worst albums I have ever bought, and I have In Stereo by Bombfunk MCs.

Then you sir are deaf to the sound. Pyramid song/I might be wrong/etcetc, some great songs on there baby.

Amnesiac is the weakest album for sure, after the pretty terrible (now, after all that's come since) Pablo Honey. That's not to say either are bad, still some damn good songs on them.

Just look at any Radiohead setlist, it's so hard to pick out weak songs, and even compile a 25 setlist without leaving out some gems.
