Sense of Humour

I have come across people like that before. Possibly just less restraint than most of us? or just easily pleased (look, a shiiiiiney)

Reminds me of the woman that sat next to me when I saw Lee Evans last year, she was in hysterics at every little thing he said even if it wasn't funny and was constantly agreeing with things he said. "Don't you hate it when...", "OH YES LUL I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN HAHAHA".

Lee Evans audience member in behaving strangely shocker!

Lee Evans I just can't abide.

usually where the cinema is located. determines the sense of humour and intelligence.

some ****ty cinema near some grimey estates, you will most likley gets chavs and hoodrats that laugh at the adverts let alone the actual film

They have a sense of humour, just they react differently to most people when things tickle this sense of humour. In otherwords, they react like "that annoying guy in the cinema" who belly laughs at every tiny little joke/comedic reference.

Where as most people will laugh a little, smirk or smile at something avereagly funny.

I don't think you can have a "better" sense of humour as humour and what you find funny is subjective. I'd say you can have a broad/wide ranging sense of humour going from very dark sick twisted stuff to slapstick silly comedy, as two ends of the spectrum for example.

I often laugh at inappropriate moments.

I laughed out loud during The Blair Witch Project at what my girlfriend assured me was not a very funny moment. I laughed out loud when my mate tripped and headbutted his 6 year old niece (I couldn't stop laughing - the poor girl was traumatised). I also laugh out loud when I'm playing Left 4 Dead and the entire team, me included, is getting ripped to shreds. My friend likens it to berserker laughter on the battlefield :D I can't help it!

It's just the way it is :)

Sorry I just had to laugh when I pictured the 6 year old being owned. I didnt expect you to say that when I started reading.

It can work both ways though, we were at the cinema a few years back, I can't even remember what film it was but before it started they had one of those anti drink-driving adverts on, the one where the guy is walking home from work, shows him doing his daily stuff, he crosses a road and out of nowhere a car comes along and mows him down. Some woman in the audience burst out laughing as soon as it happened, real bellows of laughter in a silent cinema auditorium. She stopped eventually and said "sorry, that wasn't very nice was it," and the rest of the auditorium burst out laughing, us included. :)

Schindler's List?

First time I ever saw that film I was in Ireland and woke up half way through. My mate then proceeded to narrate the next few scenes, which I remember quite clearly:

"Haha, watch this, this is a great bit."

Cue the sadistic SS Officer sniping people in the courtyard.

hehe - I knew I wouldn't be the only one to find that funny :D

His sister never forgave me for laughing at her daughter, but it really was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

My younger brother in law found the beach storming scene in Saving Private Ryan funny until the missus gave him a right good crack around the back of his head. :)

We went to watch 'In & Out' at the cinema and there was a reference to gonads, we laughed quite hard and everyone looked at us as though we were crazy, it wasn't until it was made it clear in the film that gonads = scrotum did everyone else join in.

I also took my two youngest brothers to see Shark Tale. The opening scene with the boy on the moon and the worm on the hook had my missus crying with laughter while me 2 young brothers looked at her like she was mad.

I am actually jealous of her and the way she can find something like Sid the Sloth out of ICE AGE trying to sleep and get comfortable on a rock so funny that she actually cries laughing and we can't carry on watching for 10 minutes. Very rare I really laugh at something :(

In fairness Luw, i once wet my pants with laughter during an OCUK L4D game, when some joker waiting for the Tank to appear and then started playing the Benny Hill theme tune over the mic.

Funniest gaming moment ever.

I went to the cinema to see the exorcist when it was re-released about 10 years back with my housemates.
Me and a buddy were both laughing out loud (mainly at how silly the effects looked) and another friend sat between us was getting quite freaked out by both the film, and the fact that we were finding it funny. :D

Ohhh, I know all about the Giggle Loop - mine are more spontaneous - Giggle Loops need to build up... :D

L4D has been responsible for a lot of funny moments - I find it especially funny when Sharpy dies :)

I propose an OCUK cinema trip! Mostly as some of you guys seem great fun to go watch films with! :D

Reminds me of seeing Sweeny Todd in first year with most of my (then fairly new) friends... I thought it was awful untill you started to laugh at the violence, peaking at the bit where the woman who bakes the people pies gets thrown in the oven! Packed cinema, me at the front unable to stop laughing with half of belfast staring at me.....
