OMG I'm never going to get the expert campaign achievements. Had a quick go last night and we were dead in the second level :(.

They're tough. One 'tard on your team and your chances diminish dramatically. The real key is taking your time. The finales are always nightmares, though - especially the tanks!

That's between 1-3 on Friday morning (not sure which way it works with Daylight Savings).

Playing with the right people is key. I make an effort to predict my team mates actions, if they stop at a corner and surver whats round it, I want run in front of them incase they are about to shoot and I will always try crouch so people behind me can fire.

Also Im not stat/kill hungry, if Im at the front of the group in a hoarde attack, Ill do my best to shove and not shoot.

:mad: I do not believe this game, I'm sure its been designed just to make me rage. Just about to get 14 mins on farmhouse, one of the best games Ive ever had and then the game crashes.

Does this keep happening to anyone else? It seems to happen every few games for me, especially when its getting toward gold territory.

Also I'm not stat/kill hungry, if I'm at the front of the group in a hoarde attack, Ill do my best to shove and not shoot.

The game i joined there was a guy running ahead which made it so i couldn't shoot much or i would hit him. I think it would work a lot better moving slower and sticking together. That way you encounter more special infected but its easy enough to kill them with 4 guns on the job.
 
Could it be some instability in your system?
Have you tried turning off multi-core rendering?
Have you tried the whole Verification and Defragmentation of the games cache?

This game does seem to run pretty smoothly for me at least so perhaps it's something to do with you computer.

Will give those a try. It runs smoothly for me at a constant 60fps but just seems to crash all the time for no reason. It freezes and the sound loops and i have to ctrl-alt-delete to close the game.

Doubt its an instabillity in my system as i can play Crysis for hours on end without any crashes, plus my mate has the exact same problem but it doesnt happen as often for him.

Just so annoying as it was a decent game and i would have bettered my old time.

Possibly a daft suggestion but are your soundcards fully up to date?

Yeah Ive got the latest driver for my X-fi extreme gamer. I only installed the card a few weeks ago and was using onboard before that and the same thing happened.

Also got the latest gfx driver on for my GTX280. It also did the same thing when i had some oldish drivers on.

I think its a fault with the game as Ive heard of a few people with the same issue. I'll try the suggestions you made above tomorrow and see what happens. Its not a massive problem really, only annoyed me today as thats the best time Ive ever got on Farmhouse and it crashed when 3 people were down and we were just about to get 14 odd mins.

lol I was playing with Link the other night and couldn't believe how easy it was compared to OcUK Vs.

The only difficult part was keeping Link alive Vs the Tank on the roof of No Mercy.

I swear link you had a death wish with that tank!

You won't be banned permenantly. AFAIK when you get kicked you can't join the same server again for a short period of time.

I'll bet they had a friend wanting to join and ganged up agains't you to free up a slot.

If this happens again on one of our servers i'm sure one of the admins will be able to assist, although i'm not sure what can be done in a situation like this - most of the time you just have to take it on the chin and move on as kicking one of them to get you back on would probably result in them all leaving and hence ruin any chance of a decent game. You'll find this can happen quite frequently on any server unfortunately. :(

However, if they are being abusive, generally ruining the game for everyone or otherwise, an admin will deal with that.

In the first instance look for an online admin - Link, Aekeron (Frenchtart), Ruddles or myself (Defrag), or an admin listed here may be able to render some assistance.
