He was a great American director of comedy films such as Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

RIP fella you made me laugh over the years.

Just had a look at what he did as his name and face didnt ring a bell and he wrote and directed some of the classics of the 80s 90s

I had no idea who he was but he also directed Sixteen Candles and he produced Pretty in Pink :(
