Iphone 3G/S or HTC Hero?

If cost is not an issue why is the 3G even being considered

Well 2 cons I can come up with for the iphone are that it can't run apps in the background (multitasking) and you can't remove the battery. But I too am in the same boat you are but I am also considering the Samsung i7500 too, gonna have to go try the phones out thought to make a decision.

I'd go for the Hero or Galaxy personally. I am a fan of Androids openness as opposed to the iPhones closedness and Android seems to have a bright future ahead of it.

I think without doubt the Iphone is the most complete polished phone in it's class except...

A, You have to use itunes to connect to the phone (no blutooth data transfers)

B. it's overpriced

Android has to be the way to go, also HTC has a couple of new phones about to be released, Like me I would hang fire for a few weeks

Can someone tell me what the new android phones are going to be called? Any specs on the new phones coming out. I would really like a android phone with a 3.5-8" screen (high res) or am I asking for too much?

It's pretty dumb to get a 3G over a 3GS if it's new, if you already had a 3G only then would I say it may not be worth upgrading.

Go for an iPhone anyway, the 3GS is worth the extra over the 3G and they are a cut above the HTC's.

Except its not and they are not. Several iPhone users here are considering a hero after trying mine.

Oh yeah, totally conclusive

Whilst the iPhone's biggest issue is the "locked down" nature of the device, if it already does everything you need (in concert with downloadable apps) then there's no real issue there.

The Hero, OTOH, is far from perfect and I've read some rather critical comments about it, notably that the interface is very "stuttery" compared to the iPhone and even its predecessor, the Magic. It looks very much like the build of Android they've put on this phone is too much for the hardware to handle.

Got to be the iPhone.

It's much more responsive then most of the touchscreens phones i have tried and the Apps are brilliant. iPhone is best for gaming as well.

Get the 3GS, you won't regret it

i would go with the iphone, having one my self i understand y you would want the htc, the iphone is like nothing else, have a go at both of them then make your mind up.
