Hello,

I have a iPhone on the 02 18 month £35pm contract.

I am leaving for Holland today and was wondering if i need to do anything to the iPhone to beable to use it abroad ??

I dont want it to cost me loads being in a different country.

Thanks Ben

I would suggest you go to 'settings > general..' and turn location services off, then go to 'Network', disable 3G and turn data roaming off.

Texting will use 4 of your free allowance, media messages will cost around 35p I think. Check O2 website for other call charges.

Thanks for the advice :)

Data roaming was already off on my iPhone, should i have this enabled when in the UK ?

Thanks Ben

Well i've just been abroad, and I popped into the Orange shop while in town just to check what I needed to do (if anything).

Was told to ring CS and check roaming is activated. I don't have an option for it in the menus.

I phoned up and it wasn't, so that was lucky. :p

As it's so cheap and quick a call to CS might be worth it to be sure. :)
