The thing is this place doesn't 'feel' like it has thousands of users. Maybe they're just too spread out across the different subforums and out of that number, not many post regularly or something.

Gotta agree with this. I suppose I only really visit a few forums and I recognize most names around there. Odd homely feel for such a large forum.
