Just ordered i7 920 bundle with ex58-UD5

Hi guys,

Just decided to go i7 and got the above bundle, I think it comes with the Noctua, I have a Coolermaster stacker 832, I am just wondering what to expect? advice on setup would be appreciated.

I would expect a I7 rig with a UD5 mobo and heatsink

You shouldn't need too much help with setup, it will come with a saved profile in the bios to load up and get the overclock.

You should see a little improvement over your current setup but I wouldn't expect too much as your current rig seems pretty darn fast anyway.

Thanks i thought as much, I wouldn't have done it but someone has offered me good money for my current setup so I thought what the hell I might as well be a bit future proof!! what sort of temps will I be looking at on the cpu at that speed?

I had to chip away some plastic to get the door to fit on my stacker, the noctua is a beast, you also wont be able to use the fan above the side panel.

Agreed re fitting it in the stacker, I have one too and had problems with a Tuniq Tower let alone a Noctua... You'll have to at least take the fan enclosure off the door. Let me know how it fits as I was keen to get one too.

Prolly looking at around 80c-85c at 4Ghz stressing with LinX.

I actually have already removed the plastic fan door anyway as it would not fit in with the Sunbeam core contact freezer that I have in there now!
