Evening all :D

Just booked my driving test today and then they told me that i will have to bring along my provisional licence as well as the document i received with my provisional card, now that was 2 years ago when i got it and dont have a clue where it is.

Does anyone know if i have to apply for a brand new provisional or would thay be able to just send me out a copy of this document.?
Would call the DVLA but they are currently closed :p

Thanks

Just a question out of curiosity, how long do you have to wait till' your test?

well till i get this sorted :p

Supposed to be 2 weeks today, but ill have to call my instructer about this in the morning

A new provisional can take 4-6 weeks

im hoping a can just pay for the document get get it withing 2 weeks

Wow 2 weeks is quick, where i live there is about a 7-8 week waiting list  :o

Should be both as it covers all driving licenses. You can do it online and from the looks of it you will need to put in your license number. From that it will know you're only a provisional license holder.

If it was 2 years ago are you not out of luck? Doesn't it only last 2 years before you need to re-apply?

I think that's for the theory test. If you completed it, and after 2 years you haven't completed your practical then the theory is void.

Yeah, I learnt that the hard way and had to retake my theory even though I had already passed it two years previously. You're actual provisional license lasts for years and years, you just have to make sure you pass your practical test within 2 years of passing your theory.

Correct, passed mine last May and can still remember telling my friends that you have to take your test within 2 years of passing the theory, otherwise the theory is void :)

Update:

When i ordered the replacement Paper document for my provisional it says it may take upto 10 working days to arrive. I ordered about 10/12pm friday night.

And have jumped the gun and booked my test for 2 weeks on wednesday. :D

Hopefully it should arrive on time.
