White Cars

White cars actually dont show the dirt that badly, only dark marks like mud or tar. General road crud doesnt really show on them, same as silver cars.

The right car can look superb - Golf GTi for example...

Not at a distance, no.

But when you go to get in it it would show up something rotten, little dirt marks. I'd be forever washing it because it'd drive me mad otherwise. :p

What you want is Pearlescent white, like on Lamborghini's.....

...and Alfa's ;)

And that 135i looks terrible in white. There's "too much" of it. Needs to be broken up with bits of black. See "Exige" and "Exige S" as a good example. The Former looks a lot better due to the front lip, spoiler, side scoops being black.

My last car was white as well...

The only colour that looks good on that model imho, I believe Clarkson even said so.

I like the 1 series in white, a Skoda shouldn't be white, because it looks like a taxi, ordinary hatchbacks in white look like hire cars...

I think it's a really good looking colour, only downside is that every speck of dirt shows up like a sore thumb.

Actually the excuse for people buying white cars and not getting black/dark cars down here was "They are easyer to keep clean"

Also "They stay cooler in summer"

Back in the 90s it felt like every second car was bloody white:p
