Batman: Arkham Asylum Demo Out August 8 (XBL/PSN)

I thought it was pretty damn good, can't wait until the 28th to be honest. The only thing I worry about is possible repetitiveness but hopefully not. Thought the worst when I first heard about this game but nice to see a game like this done properly for a change.
 
Game looks and plays good and I liked what limited amount I saw of the characters and dialogue. Feels like a winner to me!

Just echoing what others have said, I feel like it's length is going to mean it's a renter rather than a a buyer.
 
This i think is a great demo. Its probably the first demo that kept me hooked throughout. I love the take downs you can do from the gargoyles which leaves the foe hanging.

Superb stuff. The combat is great and the thing that seals it for me is the counter attack.

Yep great stuff Eidos, another game to get.
 
I've read the PS3 has an exclusive Joker level or something, does the 360 version have any exclusive features?? just wanted to check before I press the order button for the PS3 version.

Play as The Joker in Challenge Maps exclusively on PS3. The character will be available from launch as downloadable content from the PlayStation Network.

Nothing for xbox as far as i can see

I would be surprised if you could not get the Joker as DLC for the 360 version, maybe a few weeks after release?

It is weird the 360 has no extra content (maybe it is yet to be announced?). "Normally" on these things both platforms have a bonus (like Soul Calibur IV has an extra character each platform).

Enjoyed the demo, although I died near the end, but after watching the video in this thread I have a better idea of how to get further!

There were loads of them, and I ran in, and I almost beat them down like dogs... But then someone shot me.

This is why Batman sucks, he has no actual superpowers. You would never see Superman being caught in some mental asylum having to fight spastics to get out.

I love the demo, will be picking this up. You can clearly see a lot of effort/work has gone into it. Best Batman game I've played, you get so many letdowns these days it's nice to play a solid version of a comic book game.
 
Downloaded the demo the other night and had a play...thought it was pretty decent...my bro has a ps3 so he downloaded it as well and i thought between the 2 the 360 version was much better.

Already placed my order for this.
 
Played the demo earlier - seems pretty cool, although I'm not sure it will be worth forking out £40 for it... I'll just wait till it eventually drops to £18 like all console games eventually do ;)

Also PS3 extra content for the WIN :D
