You come across as the sort of chap who knows the trade. Why therefore waste your time on Arthur Daley style forecourts anyway? I'm sure you are good enough at buying cars to not need to pay somebody elses profit margin for 'peace of mind'

You'll have a hard time buying anything interesting from a dealer, they mostly avoid the sporty stuff.

You need to be looking at private sellers and specialist dealers.
