What are your favourite live performances, whether it be on TV or in concert.

Im a bit of an old goth, but also a keyboard player and this is kind of where i I got the inspiration from when I was younger. This is one of everyones most hated bands, but I think this shows them in a bit of a different light and is a pretty rare clip. Its from the Old Grey Whistle Test circa 1986 and is about as live as keyboard bands get. There are 2  Fairlights in the background, each worth about the same as a house, nevermind the Emulator II and Yamaha DX1.

The Sisters of Mercy farewell concert. The entire concert is great.

Fields of the Nephilim - Sumerland. Again the entire live album is brilliant.

The Mission farewell concerts 2008

James Taylor and Larry Goldings performing Sweet Baby James on Jools Holland.

I get chills everytime I watch this video. Pure, pure magic. :)

Nirvana - MTV Unplugged if that counts.

Arctic Monkeys were really good, but oddly enough one of the warm up bands were out ******* standing ! A japanese Beatles tribute band. Amazing.

No surpises here...

Mainly for when Johnny comes in. I would have loved to have been in that crowd that night, but I would never have been able to afford to go Glasto having just left school :p

nothing will ever beat daft punk in 06 for me, was still grinning from it weeks later

Unplugged is quality in general but the Alice in Chains performance absolutely blows Nivarna out of the water. Even when he was ill as heck and heading towards death Layne had a truely fantastic voice.

Admittedly his best was long before then... listen to "Rooster (live)" off Nothing Safe and you have a voice that truely dominates.
