high pitched tone when trying to sleep

does anyone else suffer from this? I get an annoying high pitch noise ringing in my ear. I havnt been exposed to sound. Could it be from a wireless router?

Try turning all electrical stuff off in the room?

My TV ocasionally emits a high pitched noice (off, but on standby).. has to be unplugged so you can sleep

Either tinnitus or something electronic you've left on, monitor / speakers or something.

ps its not electrics as i shut down the power to my room and it still happens

Radiator? Ours emits a high pitched whine from the valve every now and then, just move the valve and it stops.

See a doctor if it's that bad and in the meantime try running a fan as background noise.

As others have said, it's most likely tinnitus. I have a fairly mild case of pulsing tinnitus in my left ear which I can only notice when I'm trying to sleep as when awake the ambiance overpowers it.

Probably tinnitus, but could be a phone charger, as my girlfriend can hear them and gets annoyed by them. Can you hear the annoying mosquito ASBO deterrents?
