Anybody been waxed?

Would you like to get close and personal with a bear?

Neither would a girl, so do it for her sake :)

Talk about generalisations and ignorant ones at that!

The media has distorted a lot of what people think they like etc... models (men) have no hair on their body which is odd. Men are supposed to be hairy. A lot of women and I mean a lot, love a certain amount of body hair - some hate it of course (but they tend to be young girls), some accept it, but in general having a hairy chest is perfectly normal and acceptable. There are some which are a bit weird and like to date gorillas. But everyone is different.

Personally all the "boy" men make me laugh with all their trimming, waxing and moisturising and beauty products. Where have the real men gone?!

I'm quite lucky, very hairy body, but the hair is fair so not as noticeable as dark hair, it's also going quite grey now :( The big problem is when I get an all over tan..I look like an albino Gorilla, it's quite scary just how hairy I am when my skin goes brown and the hair goes white! :D I'd never shave/wax it though as I'm a contented heterosexual.

Very shallow of your new missus to ask, I'd say. Ditch her right away as it's not a good sign of things to come. She should accept you and your body for what they are.

I have a really hairy chest, which seems to be spreading to my shoulders/back.

I let my wife wax part of my back before and it REALLY SODDING HURTS. She doesn't mind the hairiness anyway, I was more curious as to what all the fuss is about in pain terms more than anything else.

I'm 50/50 on this, not overly hairy on my back at all, but a hairy chest, I do shave it off sometimes, but I might try the veet stuff if it is chest safe :p Can't be worse thana shaving rash, can it?

I'm more bothered about it over summer months when its more "on display" whenever you're on holiday/somewhere/sometime warm and see someone with a reall hairy chest/back, it is just cringeworthy!

Blame your wife, if you have somebody more experience it isn't so bad. I had my other half do it and it hurt but have since had it done at a place it town its doesn't hurt half as much.

Whilst I agree men should be hairy unfortunately some of us have been supplied with far more than our fair share of body hair and its not a good look.

These days men just aren't men...like men being gentlemen, now days most are just complete idiots. I for one am not though...I was told I'm a gentlemen...by some old lady...but then I was brought up by older parents slightly stuck in that era. :)

All I do is remove facial hair as it annoys me, if it didn't I'd leave it on. I have odd body hair but I've not actually had any girlfriends or potential ones complain about it or tell me to remove it. Even if they did it'd stay, I'm a man, I'm hairy, deal with it. :)

DON'T DO IT! My Mates once attacked my legs with duck tape and so my othermates decided it woiuld be a good idea to wax the rest of my legs so the hairyness wasn't uneven. IT STANG LIKE A *****!

I love all the guys saying ditch her. We expect our women to remove their hair for us so I don't think it's too unreasonable if they do the same (none of my girlfriends have asked me to yet luckily).

I don't expect them to, other than the hair that they remove anyway...armpits and legs...and they do that voluntarily so I don't see how that's an issue really.

Most women chose to do it for themselves not because we tell them to. As I alluded to earlier, fashion and peer pressure has also lead us to this "no hair" mentality.

Personally I like my women smooth skinned, and the women I go for like real men so it works out fine for me. If you want your barbie girls and be their ken go for it - each to their own. :)

I would never remove hair for someone else - I remove it for me when I do - in fact most of the women I've been with wish I didn't rid myself of my shoulder hair - but there you go.

Are you saying then that anyone who isn't hairy is not a real man? I've never waxed and it's not something I'd consider doing but I don't need to as I'm not hairy, but my GF has commented that she likes that so if I was hairy I see no reason why I wouldn't get the issue sorted for her.

Thing is though Fox, if you were a hairy bloke she probably wouldn't care, even if she said she wouldn't like it, unless you were a hairy bloke when you met her then you just won't know.

Bt what if you started going out with a girl and you then found out she didn't remove the hair on her armpits or legs? Would you ask her to? I would.

I think I'd notice before we'd been going out for a while. :p

But if I met someone and somehow I didn't notice that she didn't I don't know, I'd be quite bemused about it and in fairness I don't know what I'd do.

Exactly, dating a girl who didn't shave her legs would be a huge turnoff. They'd do it for us so frankly it's macho-bull to not respect her wishes in return.

Just glad I dont need to worry about it :p
