If you could go anywhere on holiday where would it be?

I'm looking to take the girlfriend away on holiday in september/october for a week somewhere nice.

We went to vegas last year which was epic and would love to try somewhere different. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I've got about £1k or so to spend (give or take a bit) for flights + hotel for the two of us.

So over to you guys, where would it be?

With £1k I'd look for somewhere in Europe rather than spending it on flights to East-coast US. Though you could probably do Boston on £1k flight/hotel which is more unusual than NY, perhaps not as much fun though

I would somewhere totally different but still modern, like Japan or Hong Kong.

India (big place, lots to see!), Canada/Alaska, one of those white-sand expensive islands in the Pacific.

Anywhere but here really. There's nothing worse than feeling tied down or unable to explore. :/

Going by your title, I was going to say some distant tropical planet, orbiting a red star that's part of a globular cluster and with a jaw-dropping night-sky featuring Nebulae.

However, seen as you want somewhere real, I'd say Texas!

Egypt, I've always wanted to go diving in the red sea.

You could go skiing assuming you are both up for it, very fun and a right laugh if neither of you know how.

Realy depends what kind of holiday you are after, do you want romantic or do you want fun? relaxed site seeing or activity based?
