Anybody been waxed?

It's a turn off because they are woman and are not supposed to have it.

Females like to be feminine, Men like to be masculine. There are exceptions but this is the general rule of thumb.

I am sure there is plenty a woman would not do for us should we ask and them not like the sound of it. I've known woman who point blank refuse to wear skirts.

Well no, if they weren't supposed to have it then it wouldn't grow now would it. Society says they shouldn't have it, that's all there is to it.
Not quite - it's on the way out. We have little need for any body hair at all. Under arm hair = good personal hygeine/deodorants. Pubic hair = good personal hygeine. Body hair = clothing. Head hair? Maybe hats :D.

This is quite right. It's all conditioning by society. It's only this century that the German ladies started shaving.
:D

Women also have hair in more places than that. A full happy trail in one case that quite frankly creeped me out! :p

If a girl asked me to get rid of any of it then it would depend A. How much effort it is for me B. How long had we been dating?

In answer to the original question: no. My hair (just a nice amount on the torso mostly) is both thick, dark & stubborn and it looks awful shaven. Waxed probably wouldn't be much better as when it grew back you'd be able to see the dark hairs growing before they had time to "pop-out" again.

My only option would be to electrolysis/laser it off

Oh, and hair is an evolutionary left over before we developed the ability to sweat ;)

Are you saying then that anyone who isn't hairy is not a real man? I've never waxed and it's not something I'd consider doing but I don't need to as I'm not hairy, but my GF has commented that she likes that so if I was hairy I see no reason why I wouldn't get the issue sorted for her.

I think that there are lots of people who don't look manly at all - you included. You for example, are (un)lucky enough to have a boyish frame and physique and lack of bodyhair - it is whether you like it or not less masculine than others with broader, more defined masculine features.

I may be a bit of a neanderthal in my views, but I still believe that men should be broad, hairy chested and face full of stubble - purposeful and powerful. Women should be smooth, well kept and delicate.

It just seems to me there are a lot more boyish "men" than "real" men in my eyes. However as I said, this is just my view.

Bit of a silly argument really. Nothing but "social acceptance" stops many acts that we CAN do if we want to but do not, some enforced by law other just by a sense of obligation.

The way we have evolved has only moved the "Look attractive to the opposite sex" goalposts. Woman shaving is pretty high on thier list of being attractive, its not for men.

At least not in my view - Men's attractiveness comes from personality, presence and it is well known Men get away with what would be considered unattractive traits in woman.

Would you expect anything less? :p

I didn't mean to pick on you mate, I just replied to you and used you as an example - no offence intended. :)

There's going to be women who love hairy and smooth guys, just like blondes vs brunettes (We won't mention gingers :D). Personally I don't mind my body hair, though it's a bit patchy round my shoulders so I'm tempted to get that sorted. Anywhere that has a decent covering looks fine.

My chest is pretty hairy but the hairs and quite light so they don't look too much, when they are wet it looks like a rug though.

My girlfriend loves my hairy chest and usually strokes it when just lying in bed talking, she isn't some big thing who is hairier than me either, she is cute, petite and has no hair apart from her head

I think that if my back ever got excessively hairy though I would do something about it

I dont see the problem in waxing. I do it on a regular basis out of personal choice.
Yea I get called all sorts for it but its about presonal preference.

I simply prefer not to have any hair. 99% of the g/f's i've had prefer it that way as well.

The Veet Hair Removal stuff for men is a must. Totally painless.

Im 19 yet literally only have a few hairs on my chest. (I can count them :/) Face is the same and I have no hair on my back and my arms only have a bit of hair.

Im fail :(

It's strange - I actually can't remember growing body hair. It's as if I just woke up one day and it was all there. :D I do notice it creeping up my arms now to my shoulders...
