Had My Wallet Stolen

little bit off topic. But i would love to walk around London with an empty wallet hanging slightly out of my back pocket and see how long it lasts or if i can feel it go :D

It's why I go out with combats, I have two extra pockets much further down my leg, meaning my handset goes by one knee. It's worth taking the hit from the few places that don't allow those trousers, but I've not lost anything in 4 years since I've started doing it.

I've never had the pleasure of being pickpocketed (touch wood may I never..), but :

Years ago I was downstairs, put the music on, opened the windows (just put deodrant on) and ran upstairs to gel my hair. In the two minutes it took for me to wash my hands and run back down, somebody had jumped through the window at 5 foot high, found my wallet and phone in the mess on my desk, and jumped out again.

Cheeky ****. Of course this probably has something to do with my location (<--)...but...well..
 
there's some expert pick pockets out there, I saw a video once of a guy who could get people's watches and ties, when they were wearing them!

I've always wondered if those 'professional pick-pockets', not the Oxford St. scum but the end of the pier type, could get my watch off without me noticing as it has a Velcro strap and is pretty noisy when being undone.
 
If abroad, I just use one of them drawstring bags that you wear as a small backpack, the only way someone is going to take my wallet is to take the bag off my shoulders and pull the drawstrings apart.
 
Some of the pick pocketing on the show real hustle is insane. Last series one of the guys posed as a security guard and managed to pick pocket a couple while they where both watching him! He got a wallet, purse and even phones from their inside jacket pockets. :eek: :eek: I'll try to find a clip.

They will cut the bag if they really want it's contents. Unless you're wearing it on your front.

yup, went to london on new years once with a group, one of the girls got the bottom of her bag slashed open! luckily it wasnt her but needless to say she was ****ting bricks!
