Corsair H50 High-Performance CPU Watercooler (Socket LGA775/1366)

WC-001-CS_400.jpg

The Corsair Cooling™ Hydro Series H50 CPU Cooler gives you the power of liquid cooling in a compact, easy-to-install package. You get superior cooling for higher overclocking performance without the complexity of traditional liquid-cooling systems.

Air-based CPU coolers simply aren’t as efficient as water coolers, and can take up too much valuable space. The compact, closed-loop Hydro Series H50 takes your CPU’s temperature to new lows and takes up less room doing it.

- Pre-filled, closed-loop system is easy to install
- Copper CPU cooling plate for maximum cooling performance
- Integrated pump and reservoir is sealed for zero maintenance and improved leakage protection
- Large 120mm radiator for fast heat dispersion
- High-efficiency, low-noise 120mm fan for drawing cool air across the radiator
- Two-year warranty

This is an amzing pice of kit, got one a while back, nad it close to my main watercooling loop in ability. It smashes my true and by Finrir. Great price too

Wouldnt mind trying one on my current q9550 setup to see how it would compare to my TRUE push/pull configuration.

Somewhat daft of Corsair, they should supply it with both Socket LGA775/1366 & AM2/AM3 brackets.

I read a review that they are currently making a bracket for the new i5 core socket i.e. LGA1156

Here is mine and it fantastic, with excellent temps on my OC i7.....

And here are the temps after 7 hours prime95 at 27c ambient temp.....

get one, the best decision I made, far superior to the Fenrir I had before.

nice temps m8, what kinda temps where you getting before added 2nd fan ?
way i tryed it, was fan on h50 pulling & other pushing out, but not double joined to cooler
w8 on 2 akasa fans coming, to see if any better than these 2 scythes have.
if not, off comes the 200mm at top :)

I used 2x scythe 1900rpm to begin with and temps are about the same but the noise was too loud, with the apaches I get the same temps but they are almost silent.

The Fans pull air from inside the case and exhaust out the back, which is the opposite from what corsair recommend but I found that the temps are roughly the same without having to intake hot air into the case.

Here are the temps from my 4.2OC which are pretty good as well, my old Fenrir and Noctua couldnt keep it under 90c.

forgive me for the stupid question, but how simple is this to set up? it looks super simple compared to watercooling loops

edit: also, would you reccomend this for a beginner WC setup or a proper loop?

cheers for info Gaidin109 :)

Id imagine these arent as effective on a core 2 quad with higher voltage than an i7?

check this thread, ran few test on q9550, good results :)

RIZZEE: very easy to set up

Shame it is not any better than the best heatsinks though

never saw a review yet where it has been truly beaten :)
for £59 it a bargain, other good cooolers £40-46, Then 2 x fans, then maybe extra for 1366 back plate, maths aint hard to workout :) which is a better deal if buying from new :) big +, u aint got a massive brick in your case :)
