Top 10 goals of all time

Always annoys me to see everyone jizzing over those 2 bergkamp goals, I much prefer this one:

best player agreed but that goal... omg don't get me started.

Do you not believe he outjumped Shilton fair and square? ;)

His other goal in that game though was pure individual brilliance and what a stage to do it on.

That's one hell of a goal.

One of my all time favourites is George Weah v Verona - I don't think I've made a mistake in the naming of it either, he skins pretty much the whole team on his own. Maybe it is just because I watched it on Football Italia but I've got a soft spot for that goal, there may be better but not many.

Some goals I like. :D

Gaizka Mendieta vs Barcelona

Erik Edman vs Liverpool

Roberto Carlos vs Tenerife

Xabi Alonso vs Valencia

Lionel Messi vs Getafe

Hate to say it, but I think that Ronaldo's against Pompey is as good as that one.

This surely can't be far off:

EDIT:Ack, beaten to the Messi one by Slogan :( Have wiped the video, not worth having on here twice despite being unreal!

The Harry Kewell one against Sheffield United is one of my favourites of all time, even if it's not necessarily the "best"; something about the way he struck that was just awesome, wish he'd had fewer injuries through his career :(

There's no doubt in my mind that the Carlos Alberto goal is the best of all time, outstanding.
I got bored so he's a few of mine assembled.

Johan Cruijff's "Impossible goal"
Ferenc Puskas 3rd at Wembley
Amazing team goal - Southampton vs Liverpool finished by Mick Shannon
Dennis Bergkamp vs Argentina - This is on Tony's list, commentary is brilliant.
And as a Newcastle fan, Ginola and Albert
Oh and this, Eusebio awesome penalty

I've never seen that Xabi Alonso one before, that's pretty amazing!

That Alonso one is pretty stunning, never seen that one before.

I'm not sure what it is with the Carlos Alberto one. It's a fantastic team goal, but is it really better than Argentina's versus Serbia a couple of years ago? I'm not knocking it, just saying that I think it gets a couple of nostalgia points.

There was a good guardian article on team goals a while ago, and they pointed out the Argentina one really isn't as good as it looks. There's loads of passes, but Serbia were so useless that none of them are under any pressure. I found it here. It's only really at 55 seconds when it gets any good.

and that Henry goal is my favourite of all time :)

I know it's just some amateur indoor match and the keeper probably weighs more than I do, but I love the technique on this one:

I said that and got slated for it on here, average goal.

Indoor soccer goal. Keeper reaction or non existent reaction is priceless, he didn't even react.
