MMORPGs ~ I Almost succumed to the madness... Almost... And it might still happen depending on SW:TOR

Deus Ex 2 ~ What a Letdown!

The Sims Games ~ I mean FFS come on!

Starwars battlefront
Lemmings (hated that ****** game)
Star wars - Obi wan - xbox (this game is really bad, awful GFX and the most clipping I have ever seen)
Windows Vista :p

Off the top of my head:

Worms 3D - Why ruin the gameplay, why!

SimCopter - lolworthy but a pants game.

Myst - read a book

Doom 3 - Hold a gun OR a flashlight. Because that's what I'd do in those circumstances...

Jurassic Park: Trespasser - Gives you a realistic feel of what it's like to be a drunk person with two prosphetic arms.

Most Disappointing

1. System Shock 2. I bought this twice and both times couldn't get into it. Stupid guns falling apart.

2. Deus Ex. Again couldn't get into it, probably partly because i did not have a 3DFX card and it used to run the crap in D3D mode with cards at the time.

3. Locomotion. After the greatness that was Transport Tycoon a sequel comes out 10 years later and is worse the original! Complete madness.

4. Day of Defeat Beta 2.0. Beta 1.3b was a great if highly flawed game. This was just pants. Dod_Oslo ruled!

5. Monkey Island series. Full throttle was brilliant but for some reason they did nothing for me :(

One word: n00b!

:p

;)

GRID becuase it's ridiculas to steer.

Your spelling of ridiculous is ridiculous! :D

I really need to play GRID properly, I got it free from overclockers, and I've played it for a huge 5 minutes and then got preoccupied with something else.

I haven't played many games that were poor as I always see if the reviews are good before buying. Three games I didn't like though were:

Diablo: If there ever was a game to show me the futliity of gaming it's Diablo. It's just Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click, Click. Just like pressing the equals botton on a calculator over and over again! Had very limited RPG elements in it imho. Thank god I bought morrowind the same day!

Serious Sam 2: Really enjoyed the first game but found the second to be very irritating with annoying characters and became repetitive and boring much quicker than the first one. Sam seemed to move too slowly as well, kept getting killed for the lack of being able to dodge.

Deux Ex 2: The voice acting was poor, the character models never seemed to synk up with said voice acting and the levels were so small it got really frustrating having to retrace your steps going from loading screen to loading screen. A massive disappointment for me.

The title of the thread is "ever played" - which implies you've bought / rented the game and then gone - holy moley! what a waste of cash! As most (sensible) players tend to stay away from games that look bad from the outset, it really is a list of games that have let you down the most / bought out of sheer boredom.
My 5 would probably be :
Shellshock - Nam '67
Brothers in Arms Hill 30
Enter the Matrix
Sherlock Holmes: Nemesis
Rainbox Six 3

I'm sure there were loads but the two which stand out for me were:

Splinter Cell: Double Agent.

It was a horrible port which crashed often and was filled with so many bugs, I just had to give up on it eventually.

Star Trek: Elite Force 2.

I loved the first game and thought this was going to be more of the same but was terrible and such a let down after the first.

There is only really one game that has really disappointed me to a state reaching rigor mortis, and that is Soldier of Fortune: Payback.

Absolute ****e.

I also wasn't a fan of Dawn of War as well... great game, spoilt by the stupidly-high level of micro management needed on your units what with various attack stances and whether they prioritize buildings or people first etc. Baaah! Give me traditional C&C/starcraft point-and-click to move/kill affair.
