All over the world...
Went to see this Fri night and thought it was pretty decent although its a bit lame in parts. Special effects were ok-ish...nothing too outlandish i thought.

Sienna Miller is in it and honestly even though i dont think much of her...she looks mighty fine as a brunette...but meh id rather have that tasty redhead chick over her anyday.

Id give it a 7/10 tbqh...could have been better if they had put some thought into it...

Anyone else went to see it??

I refused to see this when mates suggested it. It seems as if there's eff all plot and even worse acting :D

Perhaps I'm getting to be an grumpy old man!

Considering the source material, the script to this film would always come off lacking. It looks okay enough visually I guess but really what did anyone expect?

At the end of the day, you're watching this movie to see women in hot, tight leather with their breasts bursting out of their sexy clothing.

I was expecting this film to be more about style than substance but still I found it hilariously bad in parts. A celtic voice activated fighter jet!!!!? So many moments I thought to myself - WTF!!!

You guys do know the original director of this almost got fired and it had the worst test screenings of any movie in the studio's history.

Yeah, more info on this please?

But overall though, do bad test screenings really matter for a film of this nature?

I read somewhere that they're going to make hundreds of millions of dollars just from the merchandise (i.e. selling more G.I. figurines) from this film (same as Star Wars, Transformers, etc.)

Movies like this are just ways of printing cash which they do very well and this is basically a $175 million 2 hour toy commercial.

I never watched the original cartoons, but I have to say I quite enjoyed it. It wasn't clever, and the acting wasn't great, but for pure entertainment and fun, its great!

Plus Sienna Millar was pretty hot, as well as that red hed girl.

Exactly, I didnt expect much and enjoyed it because of that. My mates all looked forward to it and were disappointed...

The random Brendan Fraser appearance raised a laugh too

Being Scottish and all I thought Ecclestons' accent was a bit too like George Burley which I couldnt get over....

As always with the majority of OCUK film goers, you expect far to much from such a film.

its called GI Joe : Risoe of Cobra not Shawshank Redemption : Rise of Cobra.

Take it for what it is, a dumb action film to be enjoyed.
