well went to the auction again today;), i am sure you are going to get bored of these cars i buy but you have to admit atleast they are all a bit weird and not your ordinary car a 23 year old guy buys. well lets get to it, i bought a volvo 965, 3litre v6 24v estate, with 105 000 miles on it, years mot and some tax. car is in brilliant condition apart from two scratches on the front bumber, leather seats are in very good condition. the car has climate control, electric everything side impact airbags, abs, power steering. only downside is that it is massive but atleast i will be able to fit a large audio install into it,well here are the pics and i will get some more interior pics tomorrow. let me know what you think:D

Question ... what car auction was this from, all my google skills are failing at finding something local and useful - so if anyone can direct me to some useful site that tells you of auctions and the like, it would help (preferably one that has the auction inventory online available to view).

well this was from the local one down here in st austell cornwall, it is just a tiny one compared to some of the big ones that have 200+ cars go through, sure there must be some around oxford, as thats a much bigger place and you have swindon and reading close by, maybe try there

these things can be as long as a transit van...

If you want a big audio install, you could fit some PA speakers in there as it's so big... I suggest Void Stasys-X :)

In fact I could do with something like this to cart around some big speakers I'm building which are about the size of a washing machine! :D

they are pretty nice to drive aswell, with th engine i have in mine it does not feel like a large car driving it, only time you realise you are in a huge beast is when parking

They aren't that big, I just had a look on Parkers, they are barely any longer than a BMW 5 series or a Ford Mondeo, indeed they are 230mm shorter than my XJ and a whopping 358mm narrower than the XJ, which is a big car, this Volvo isn't so huge after all if you look at the figures.

The way some of you talk it's as if they are the size of a main battle tank or something, they really aren't, they are just very boxy, they probably look and feel bigger than they really are.

Great buy at the price you paid, a supreme load logger really.
