Oh, wow :O
Must..... Resisttt......
Great bargain :)

Lol... you cannot resist coz OcUK is has slashed the price of the best AM3 mobo "Asus Crosshair III" by £10. It is now £135! more reason for you to splash on the new chip I guess :p

More than I was expecting it to be, will wait on some reviews before deciding on this or the 955.

Yeah was expecting it to be nearer to the £170-£180 mark. Looks like it'll be an exciting next few days for all the AMD fans. Can't wait for the reviews to come out!

Well, it can be had for 190 in places. Still too much. Toss in P55 and the new intel i5/i7 chips in to the mix in sept and the prices will come down!

Seen some clocking screenies on some other forums, seems this is hitting 4Ghz on less volts than the 955, with NB comfortable at 3Ghz.

That was on an AM2+ board with DDR2 memory as well.

Seems this could be more than just a slightly faster 955.

It was made with better quality silicon afterall "supposedly". :p
Can you provide the link? I would like a good read and look at this chip's potential.

£210 is an epic fail against the i7..ofc not ockuk fault all e-tailers will be doing the same....i predict it goes on deal of the week for £179 in under 4 weeks because no ones going pay that are they  :D

Take a look at the thread in the AMD forum on xtreme systems, you'll find the link and other info on there. Don't think they are a competitor, don't think they sell anything?

Yeah they aren't competitors if they aren't based in the UK and doesn't sell computing products :)

Thanks though, would definitely look it up when I get home from work :)

didnt think it'd be more money than the 920, I'm in 2 minds wether to get a 955be or i7, think its probably worth holding out a few months.
