Hi, I'm looking for another graphics card to replace my 9800GTX+ SCC
I'm not sure weather to go with a single card or to get 2x 4850 to xfire them.
What would be a good replacement for my card? i'm using 1680x1050 for my res.

Umm, from all the benchmarks i've managed to find there's only a few frames between the 4890 and the GTX275.
I think i'll go with the 4890 and possibly get a second i a month or 2.

I got a Gigabyte GTX275 with my Titan Goliath system and it's performing extremely good.

Anyway a GTX275 or a 4890 will be more than fine for that res for a long while.

if you prefer Nvida than go with the GTX275 if you don't get the HD4890

I know were my vote is and the answer is in my sig

oh yeah go with Nvidia and you get physics (!) thats about all lol not saying the GTX275 is a bad card, in fact no were near, in fact its equal to the HD4890 but it has nothing extra over it

i play with a clocked XFX 4890, crysis at that res 1680 all max no probs at all
its very odd all the games i play it doesnt like AA at all, slows right down
but without AA it flys through

IMO the great thing right at the moment is how you almost can't go wrong on graphics cards - a GTX275/HD4890 will run anygame beautifully so no worries there. IMO nVidia have a nicer control panel, ATi users can OC within the drivers.

For me using evga precision and my 260 will clock 728, but I leave it at 700. Many cards have such awesome coolers clocks can be pushed really high.

My only thing is don't buy a card with a huge factory overclock, I did and I wish I just bought the normal one and saved 25 quid. Then after a few months (once you can confirm the card works perfectly) replace the cooler and overclock like mad!!
