Considering grabbing one...

Question - I googled a review and it shows that the card takes 2x 6 pins is that right? and it also comes with the 4 to 6 pin converter? I have the 6 pin cables anyway, I would just prefer to have a 4 to 6 pin in case I can't find one of my 6 pin cables -.-

Um, mildly confused......the stats above on the actual product page differ to those on the 275 series summary page for the card (it lists Core @ 633, Memory @ 2268 and Shaders @ 1404)....so, which are the correct figures ?

I am considering buying one of these to replaced a HIS 3870, although I feel as if perhaps I should wait off for the 5870. My main concern is playing Modern warfare 2 when it comes out at 1650 1080. Although would like the ability to play it at higher resolutions in the future.

I would prefer a EVGA card to have the step up option but since I can't do you guys feel this would be a a good card for what I need or should I wait?

I am not a fan of how Nvidia operates but I am not fussed as long as its good.

i am in the same sort of boat, wait or buy a 4890, the trouble is the new cards are going to be like almost double the price of a 4890 (£150)

Oh  I was expecting them to be about 170-210 in price, but I guess your probably right since they will be new and with no competition I guess they will charge a real premium.

i would expect them to be around £280 if not more
we will learn more once news starts to break out.

also they have not been put back a few months yet?
new graphic cards always get put back a month or 2
i guess AMD are trying to get these out for christmas though.

Not wanting to be a pooper on this deal, but you can get the BFG card for just an extra £10 which comes with their amazing 10 year warranty! Gutted I bought an Asus card last month now, always used BFG before and theyve always been great, well worth that little extra :)
