Wow, loving the last two, looks like something that could be used in a marketing campaign or something. Good work mate.

Does a rig attach to a second chase car?

Thanks, no it attaches to the car in the shot. 3 metre aluminium tubing (in 2 sections) 1.5" od with a 10 gauge wall, two manfrotto 241 pump cups, superclamps and a 155RC head to attach the 50D.

Those last two shots I was really happy with, I was trying to get the contoured look so we tried a few shots with the Speedlite flashes (430EXII & 580EXII) on either side and triggered with the ST-E2 on the camera.

The location for those was on a business park, in some ways it's perfect for these shots as the some of the office buildings have this parking space underneath with the corrugated ceiling & strip lighting. Unfortunately security were a bit fidgety (especially as we'd turned up in these cars) but let us stay for a couple of hours.

The static shots were taken between 11pm-12:30am lol.

What I've found, as a limitation of the ST-E2 (and any IR transmitter for that matter) is that for backlit shots there's no LoS. So I've sold the ST-E2 and will use the command functions on the 580EXII for some stuff and will also buy some RF triggers so I don't need to worry about LoS. It'll give me more flexibility

Love to see a shot of that rig fella.

If you dont mind me asking, how much did the rig setup set you back, and is it your own design?

Rig shots were with a Canon 50D using a Sigma 10-20mm and the statics were with a 17-85mm.

Rig cost around £230 all in, those suction mounts are pricey!

Fantastic work, love the first one. I've been meaning to give this a go, pretty much got everything I need but my car is only small so the largest pole I can fit in it is 1.2m, which is causing me problems :(

Awesome pics, i love them. Great job with the cloning as well, i wouldn't have known there was a big suction mount on the side, i thought it must be attached to the roof or under the car some how.
