What do/did your parents do?

Dads a manufacturing engineer for stannah stairlifts, actually got quite a good job there. Used to do something for clares shopfitting before they went bust, safety inspector or something.
Mum used to work in tescos, now an admin assistant for the research council.

Neither influenced me. Because I have no idea what i really wanna do.

My dad just managed to get a very good job for his line of work, he's essentially doing R&D for stannah stairlifts on a new machine, he hasn't a clue what hes doing really.
My mum works in admin for the research council.

They're way better off than they were a few years ago.

What are the chances of that?

My old man was a V-Bomber pilot, then he owned his own haulage business, then he owned a parcel delivery company, he now makes stained glass windows and is involved in a company that is developing a new device for the US military.

Mum used to be a ATC at Waddington, but for the past 33 years she has mostly been a Homemaker, with the odd bout of credit controlling thrown in.

Both now retired, but their last jobs were:

Dad: Caretaker at the village school
Mum: After-school club manager at the village school

Both worked down the road at the end, easy life!

My dad is a developer, and my mum has done a few different office based jobs.

I'm currently working in a sort of trainee developer role!

So I'd say it deffinetly affected me, but I always said when I was younger I 100% didn't want to be a developer!

My father was a soldier he joined the Royal Artillery in 1964 at the rank of Gunner aged 16, did 2 years boy service in Junior Leaders, graduated to the full service at 18 and went straight into the conflict in Borneo. In his time he did 6 tours of Northern Ireland fought in the Falklands and the first Gulf War and retired as a Major having done his full service plus five years extended service.

My mum, had many jobs since we were travelling around the world so much, her most important one was holding the family together, I think she had the hardest ;)

Dad - Television sound engineer, worked for LWT (London Weekend Television) for around 30 years and then went freelance - Chelsea TV pretty much pays the bills now!

Mum - Theatre / TV Wardrobe where she met my Dad, then time off to bring up my brother and I, and then worked as an usher in a magistrates court.

Though my career hasn't followed theirs, I have learnt music mixing from my Dad and have always been involved in music/theatre which seems to come from my Mum...
