im after an Acer and am wondering what youd suggest. the 6935g or the 6930G

Ah, how annoying :(

DSR it and get another :p

I'm going to :D

Glad I caught you here, I have plugged my headphones in the left handside ports yet the sound is still coming out of the laptop speakers? Any idea's why that would happen?

Not wanting to belittle you, but my laptop had a spidf/microphone port, you don't have a seperate jack do you, or need to change settings on the desktop (like mine)

what resolution you running your games at, and what detail (Cod 4 especially!)

Belittle me??? Forums are for knowledge sharing amongst lots of other things..

There is no seperate ports, I'm unable to see what settings could be changed..... Hence asking the question :)

Haven't played COD4 yet but I'd play it at the laptops native resolution

You're definately using the black output jack?

On the left hand side towards the front of the laptop?

OMG I feel such I NOOB!! It was dark in the room last night and all I saw was two ports!

Just tested it in the right port (black) and it works lol thanks guys!!

Any how its going back due to that dead pixel but I've created an acronis image of the OS partition so
I can have it back to the way it was within 15 minutes of the new one coming!

Thanks guys ;)

Mine has 1 dead pixel in the top left corner, its red, so I dont actually believe its dead, but i've tried to wake it up, with no luck :(

have people tried this with any games yet?

I've just noticed that the supermarket chain that was selling this online has changed it's description of the laptop, and no longer states that it has the Nvidia graphics card. I'm beginning to have doubts and considering waiting until the ION range of netbooks are out...!

Got mine yesturday and got a black dead pixel, left hand side one thrid for the top!

Just called the place where I got mine and I'm taking it back into the store for a full refund, I'll reorder again hopefully this one won't have any dead pixel issues!

They didn't even boot it up and check it was working when I returned it just open the box to check for a power lead and closed it again, could have stripped it down to nothing :)

Although they stuck a refund receipt on it so would have come knocking for it sooner or later!

Any how I have ordered a new one that will be here Wednesday, just in time for a shiney new Crucial 64GB SSD :D

is your new one any better?

Pixel's?

Yes I just installed pixel buddy and it's perfect :D

One thing is though I get the error below when I press the "virtual surroundsound" button :( running Windows 7 x64 so Installed the Vista x64 drivers?

sorry, it goes above my head! I'm don't play around too deep.

Did it come with the same graphics card, and does it come with vista 64, or just 32?

oh well it seems the boys in purple + all associated companys have stopped selling the 6935g *sad face* luckily OCUK has once agin come to the rescue, admittedly at a bit of a higher price. just out of interest guys do you know if the purples will ever stat selling it again? cheers

PS heres the ocuk link http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-062-AC&tool=3

EDIT:definately think im going to go with the ocuk one as for not much of a higher price i get an extra 1gb of ram and a blu ray drive. :D cheers guys

I got mine 6930G with 9600m Gt 1GB DDR2, beautiful laptop, I like the style, the sound is good (just miss the key mute), I tried just 2 games, GRID 4xaa 1366x768 avg. 35-40 fps, and Trackmania avg 40 fps, I hope the next few days to try more games.
I'm looking to install a bluetooth, How do I? or should be better to use Bluetooth USB?
