Could you run for 30 seconds at full speed without being exhausted afterwards?

No way. I'm a better distance runner naturally (?) anyway.

But seriously, I'm getting so fat - not heavy, just fat. I weighed 9st a year ago, now I'm 10st 6lb. And I've got a mother of a beer belly :(

I don't know if I could do that - but about three weeks ago I joined a gym, and I can feel an improvement in myself, stamina wise.

I can barely walk to the end of the road and back these days, let alone run. But that's ill health for you lol Congrats on improving your fitness though, it's never something you'll regret. :)

not many people in the world could, what a silly question. if you can then you arent running your fastest, tbh.

I wouldn't say exhausted, but I could slow down to a jogging pace and complete a 5Km run with ease if that's what you mean. Running is brilliant, except for the inevitable injuries.

Ehausted, depends on your definition really.

"serious weakening and loss of energy"

Well then, yes, I wouldn't be exhausted but If you mean could I sprint at full pace for longer than 30 seconds then you might be pushing it? Human body isn't designed for long periods of intense motion imo, more stamina.

I would recommend running to anyone though. Its great for fitness, just have to take it very slowly when you start off and build up very slowly. Worth it in the end.

When you fully sprint your heart out, your pushing yourself to the limit, when you get that limit you can't go any faster, as your heart cant push oxygen and blood around your body any faster than the point it is! Which will exhaust you to the point of puffing and panting!

If you can do so, your not pushing yourself to the limit, your spring at a pace which is not requiring enough oxygen and blood to leave yourself exhausted!

i've put on some weight during summer, so no
but im working on losing some weight, just not sure where to start :o

Whats full speed mean?

i thought it means FULLL speed?

"i charged my battery up fully"

"i charged my battery up to the max"

same thing...

but there's a difference between intensity and speed ;)

Anyways, I guess i should have just asked if you could run for 30 seconds. Probably easier to let people judge whether they feel fit or not without having to run fast
