Hi Folks,

I ordered this case yesterday and it arrived today (thanks ocuk!) so I took a few pics of my build for the people who are interested in this case. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera so had to use my phone so the pics are a bit rubbish but when I get my camera back I should be able to take some better picks.

The reason I needed a new case was I wanted to go with 2 graphics cards and my old case didn't have the room. This is my old Lian Li A05 case with a few mods for better air flow etc.

This is the cramped internals, you can see a second gfx card would barely fit in there!.

Enter the PC-K62, this is it straight out of the box. There are loads of hidey holes and for the wires from the psu.

The description on overclockers stated there is space for 2 140mm fans on the top but you only got one when you bought the case, however 2 exhaust fans came with it as well as a 140mm intake and a 120mm exhaust for the back.

Here's a picture with my rig all installed. I tried my best with the cable management, it's not perfect but it took me ages to get it to this state so I am going to leave it like this for now. You can see I removed the HDD rack, this was to get better airflow from the 140mm intake to the graphics cards. My 2 hard drives are in the bays above.

The fans that come with the case are really quiet and they shift a lot of air.
The tools less fixings are great, it took me hardly anytime to switch my components to this new case.

As for water cooling I think you'd need to look else where. Although you can have an external system quite easily I don't think there's much scope for an internal. I don't think there's anywhere you could comfortablt fit a 120.2 rad in it (the top of the motherboard is very close to the top of the case, plus with the 2 140mm fans there it's be difficult to rig a rad up).

Any questions let me know.

Matt

Looks good with a tidy system inside. Glad I bought on these cases at ocuk. First pic with a full rig built inside.

How did you find the tool-less install?

Maybe's my P183 needs the be upgraded :)

looks nice pitty i was gonna sell me haf for one,but if you cant fit a 120 rad then im buggered i supose, unless i go external but then would it look ugly doing that, will have to talk to the gods of watercooling and see.

Tool-less install was great, the pci slot "grips" are genious and the way the fans can be pulled out really easily and put back is such a time saver. I have to keep taking the fans off of the top of the case to get to the wires at the top of the motherboard so I'm glad I didn't need to keep unscrewing them.

I did have a bit of a play with the HDD rack but in the end didn't need it, however that is great too.

what on earth did you do that poor A05 :(

what were your temps like & what are they now?

The A05 originally had internal water cooling in it before I moved to i7 :) hence the need to cut a few gaps in it to help with the airflow. Temps are down about 6 degrees however it is a bit cooler this morning than the evening when I usual bench. It might help me push my CPU a little bit faster though.

I'll try and get some better pictures when I get my camera at the weekend but there isn't really much scope for an internal 120mm based watercooling set up.

Slinkie - How quiet are the fans? I want to upgrade my HTPC to a full on gaming rig but want to keep it near silent as it'll be in my living room.

When you say really quiet?..

Ace Modder - Can you confirm the fans are as described above and not as the OcUK description? Would be ideal if they all came with a full set of blowers :)

1x 140mm blue led fan in the front
2 x 140mm blue led fans in the top
1 x 120 mm black fan in the back

let us know what measurements are inside for my rad,i could go external i really do like the case whether or not it would look stupid on out side is there any gain on having it external tho?temps ect.
when they say you can have it watercooled they dont mention what size rad you can fit any ideas please let me know.cheers

I took some pictures today with my camera, it's pretty hard to get good pictures in my study though as it's quite dark.

Look's basically a steel version of the Lian Li PC-P50B with most of the internal features. About the only difference is the P50B has the 5.25" bays running down the whole front of the case with the HDD's fitting in a cage with noise dampening and a 120mm fan. This Lancool also has a window. Apart from that and the material they are more or less identical. The pci slot retention mechanism is superb. :D

I soo want one of these cases. Looking to replace my 300, its getting a bit small and the cables are all over the place.

iv been looking for reviews and full builds with this case! This one has jsut made me want the case more :)
