How much water do you drink?

real scientific studies, rather than internet health site opinions, have proven that drinking more water than the body tells you to has no positive benefit what so ever. we have evolved with a perfectly acceptable mechanism for telling us we are in need of water - unless you have a medical condition where your thirst response is suppressed there is no need to keep drinking water when you aren't thirsty. Animals have survived several hundred million years using this principal.

It is the general opinion of quite a few places, even a few issues of new scientist I have read suggests the same thing.

Still, whatever makes you happy :)

About 2 litres.

8 litres a day won't be healthy to do regularly, you must spend your life running back and forth to the toilet.

Just make sure you get enough salts and minerals.

Very rarely on it's own, but I do drink about 7 sizeable glasses of heavily diluted orange/apple/cranberry juice a day. I'm not one of those people who claim they dislike the taste of water or anything, but given the choice I prefer to add a touch of flavour.

I bought four 2 litre bottles last Sat and Im about to finish the 2nd bottle now so about a litre a day :p

sometimes i hardly drink any water and by the end of the day i can feel myself being slightly drowzy... i like stuff to be flavoured.

You have to remember that foods contain water too so as far as a daily intake you have to consider that. In terms of health, it's far far better for you to keep well hydrated.

I dont drink hot drinks like tea and coffee so im always drinking pints of water when at home, and as our office is air conditioned ive always got cups of water around as I get real parched in air conditioned offices. In all 3-4 litres a day.

I only drink water, its fine once you get past the fact its not full of sugar and other ****, drink about 1.5 - 3 ltrs per day, depends how busy i get sometimes i just forget to drink :o

Have to odd glass of coke on a hot day but tbh i can live without it, other than that its beer / ale / bitter when i'm out :)
