I hope they have the United youngster stats more accurate this year. Rafael and Fabio were a bit useless, as was Macheda.
Did Keane do all his spending before the season started? If so it could have been accurate. Keane had £50m or so to spend and spent most of it leaving only a few million left.I'm interested in seeing how much budget they give Sunderland in this years game - last season they only had a budget of only a few million in FM09, even though Keane spent like 50 million or so.

Hmm true that. But the players Keane bought would have been in the Sunderland squad in FM.Most likely, although doesn't the game normally start well before pre-season friendlies?

Even if he does hopefully it'll be a star player so even if we lose a bit of cash we should have an excellent player to show for it.Along those lines, Man Utd should have at least £60m remaining for us to spend(presuming Fergie really isn't going to sign anyone else)
They should be. I believe the Manchester United researcher will have done the data for Rafael/Fabio/Macheda as this will be their second season at Utd? Then Rafael/Fabio weren't played by Fluminense much when they signed for Utd so they lost match fitness so they didn't play much. They should definitely be better - now we've seen more of them in matches the researcher will have more to go on so will make the appropriate improvements. I'd be surprised if Macheda wasn't given a -9 PA now.
Yep pretty much what they do.Oh yeah, that's true, they normally just take the current squad and shift the take back a month or two, forgot about that. Like FM10 I'd imagine will start in July or so but we'd have Cattermole who we just signed a couple of days ago.

Exactly.Yeah. I'd prefer if he did sign someone, Man Utd being stronger in real life is much more important than me having a few mill more to spend in FM!
Yeah that was unofficial wasn't it. And even that was before Macheda played some end of season games so hopefully he'll have improved a bit.Yep you're right. He did "fix" Fabio and Rafael in the 9.3 patch after they had awful ratings because they weren't being played before joining Utd, but it's the first major update he'll do for those three so they should have a better base of stats to improve upon.
Isn't there an option when setting up a new game to enable transfer budgets? Not sure exactly what it does but it could be worth testing out.I hope they fix the starting transfer budgets at the beginning of the game as well.
It was damn annoying trying to buy players as United at the start of a new game on FM09 with only £2m or so to spend.
You'd have to sell a fair few players to be able to purchase who you wanted.
I think it was. OK there were problems on release date with the activation servers down due to DDoS attacks but it was a pretty good version.Very tempted to get this when it comes out. Loved FM 05, 06 and 07. Was last years any good?
I've not tried Windows 7 yet, despite having the RC iso here to test, but if Windows 7 is a more efficient OS than Vista and SI really have made FM10 run quicker due to optimising the code then anyone running FM10 on a well powered W7 machine could have a lot of fun.FM 10 + Windows 7 =![]()

Ah righty-ho.There's a tick box to enable or disable transfers in the first window. If you disable it you get nothing at all, if it's enabled (it is by default) you get a budget based on what the manager would have left after their real life spending.
Unless you happen to be Mark Hughes. You never get a full budget in the first transfer window.
Think I may purchase myself FM10.
Im still using FM07
