Anyone playing this game on Win 7 ? i was running XP and was smooth as, but looks much better on Win 7 (great) but does seem a bit slower and screen tear.

Any thoughts

I haven't played it on Windows 7, but it will have issues mate, Windows 7 isn't even out yet technically lol.

Don't worry if it does have any problems running on Windows 7 they will no doubt patch it :)

Besides Map Pack 3 has just been released, they will no doubt be bringing a patch to the PC which includes this, I would think they will have a fix for Windows 7 if it requires it :)

OK i was wrong ;-) i dont know if its just me but i have come from win XP and this win 7rc makes COD5 look just amazing very pleased and now the game just started feeling smoother as the night went on.

But i think i need more memory i have 2 gig should i bring upto 4gig ??

Thanks for input

your Whole system would benifit with another 2gb, games, encoding ect ect
remember to use the 64x windows 7 to get full use of 4gb :)

Never had any problems with games on windows 7.
i've had a few instances of V-sync + Triple Buffering not working, but i recon thats the nvidia drivers not the OS.

Isn't 32 and 64 built in with each other now? or is it still 2 seperate installations.

64bit os can run 32 & 64bit apps and can see more ram:
for windows 7 64bit
Starter: 8GB
Home Basic: 8GB
Home Premium: 16GB
Professional: 192GB
Enterprise: 192GB
Ultimate: 192GB

32bit os can only use 4gb and only run 32bit apps

I have a slight issues with COD w@w if thats the game you mean. In W7 when I first run the game and join an on-line game I will get a blank screen for about 15-30 seconds before coming back on and having been kicked off the server. I think it could be caused by my dual monitor set-up but the games runs perfectly fine after that. I just bought the map pack for my boy's Xbox. Looking forward to getting it on PC.

cod waw runs great on my machine with win 7 , however , because i run the game in windowed mode for admin'ing my server when i minimise the game to use rcon win 7 switches to basic colour mode which is bugging me because then all the colours in the game become washed out and dull :(

Thats what i fault, but it just looks so much better more vibrant sharper.

Also i have X fire and on XP when i was in a game the screen would flicker lost of people have this problem not just me and now with Windows 7 it,s gone ? no one could work out what the problem was most fault it was a power supply which would make sense.

Also Window 7 does not not like a bad overclock made my games run bad always using the hard drive ?

I agree with the colours looking better on win 7 , i dont why they look better but i noticed it straight away, as you say they look "vibrant" , thats why i noticed the big difference when basic colour mode kicked in :(
