Mad Catz Modern Warfare 2 Range Announced

I suppose it depends on how these controllers give you an edge. I'm against that if it happens because the thing is lag aside it's supposed to be a level playing field.

I do understand and agree with you Danny, but the more and more I play on consoles I just think... Why?!

It is the little details (as with everything) which make the difference. However, there isn't a competative playing field for console games, due to over saturation. You don't get major clans, major tournaments and 'major games' like you do on a PC. The market just isn't there. By 'major games' I mean games which have come out, get constantly updated and have a big community support, with user based maps and game modes. All of which the console doesn't have.

When I used to game on the PC, I could name a good 5 games of each which I was in a clan and each I was playing at a decent to high level. I have never been in a clan on a console, they just don't really exist.

It's a waste of time buying performance enhancing controllers (other than flight clicks and fighting sticks which serve an actual purpose) on a console.

There are defiantly clans on console games.. but mainly just a small group of friends that want cool tags beside their names to make themselves look important.

When I used to play GOW on the 360, I'd always join a game and there would always be a group of players stacking the teams. I remember someone asking me if I was in a clan, I said no, and then got kicked from the game. Also, to add these tags on console games, you usually have to pay to change your name.

Really though, clans are kinda lame. I had to go through a trial period back in 2002 or so to get into a SOF2 clan. Having clan games are fun though, thats the only good thing about being in a clan.

lol. What have you been smoking?

Anything that is known by %89 of the worlds population is going to be squeezed dry of every penny it is worth. Just ignore all the extra crap and buy the vanilla flavor(just the game on its own).

I'm waiting for the (its cool to hate COD) group to start posting now.:D

Much less than 25% of the population will have heard of the game.

Yes there are clans on the 360, but like you said, these are a small group of friends... That's not really a 'clan' so to speak.

my definition of a clan is taken from the PC side of things. Where players get together, form teams or 'clans' and join a league.

Which you don't get on the 360, or if you do, the lack of publicity or a big community means that they aren't very well know. This is why PC gaming has the edge over console gaming in my eyes.

I wouldn't say clans are lame, just like football teams aren't lame, or rugby teams.

You can't really compare gaming clans to professional sports. Most clans are started by 14 year olds just so they can have a {=-}kIlLaSQuAdSOlDiErs{-=} tag beside their name. They then go around spamming servers trying to recruit members. :D

Its also annoying as hell playing on a clan server as you always get kicked to make way for clan members. I know they own the server but its still annoying as hell.
