It does indeed look like Intel has broken its own NDA in Taiwan by selling its full range of Core i5 and Core i7 Socket LGA-1156 Lynnfield based processors. And it’s not just one shop selling them, literally all of the PC hardware shops are selling them.

Not only that, but we saw a range of ASUS and GIGABYTE LGA-1156 based Intel P55 Express motherboards on sale.

Despite the rumours of MSI having a CPU and motherboard bundle deal on sale at the start of this week, we didn’t see any MSI boards on sale – but we may just have not seen them, it’s a big place the computer market in Taipei.

There you have it – Lynnfield based products on sale in Taiwan almost a full month before Intel officially launching the new platform next month on September 8th. Oops! Distributed by Tubemogul.

I bet OcUK already have stock of i5 & P55 chipset motherboards but waiting for the NDA to expire!

How come Taiwan gets Intel preference! Intel are racist!!!!

Maybe coz they are their main chipset/board manufacturers? :p

Arnt the motherboard factories mostly in that region anyway, would seem geography wins here.
Supposed to be NDA till Sept 6th then on sale Sept 9th.

I'm willing to bet most of the main retailors have stock but wont admit it because their scared of Intel lol.

Well it's not fair if their just letting people in those countrys have the products & not anywhere else.

I know some shops in the USA who already have stock of P55/i5 core & their waiting for the NDA, if Taiwan/China not adhering to the NDA why should any other country.

Im wanting to get an i7 system in the next couple of weeks. Is it worth me waiting?

Whats the difference with the MB and CPU's?

its just not fair we have to wait another month GOD DAMN IT>>

get over it, its one month lol :p

I don't really get what's so wildly exciting about these. If it was actually likely to be quicker than the current ones, then maybe. Or if phenom 2 didn't exist, gamers would be thrilled. I don't really know who's expected to buy them though

Yeah no big deal really :D well hopefully just 2 weeks this Monday, I might not even buy it yet will see with more reviews. :)

If their going to release a product though, they should at least release it to everyone not just the minority.

Anybody who's not upgraded to i7 and want's to spend less for 95% of the performance of i7.

And use less system power than an LGA1366 platform uses at idle when the i5 is running at load!. And as far as gaming performance is concerned i5-750==i7-920
