Just dropped my Nokia phone in the stream whilst walking the dog. Cannot even tell you how angry I am at myself.

So so so annoyed. Especially as I need it so much lately as just started to get friendly with a girl.

So had to nip into town and buy the cheapest Orange phone I could £9.50 but then I also was told I had to put £10 worth of credit on it even though I wont use that SIM card I will just put my contract SIM in it which I have done so I am back on mobile connection now.

Bit annoying the £10 fro SIM Credit, for something that will just sit in a box and never get used :(

Can I claim on my orange insurance for water damage like that ?

insurance you should be able to i'd guess. not a warranty fauly obviously but iirc most insurance policies will include liquid/water damage cover.

Was going to say, dont put it on a radiator or anything to try and dry it out, you need to bury it in a bowl of rice (as in dried rice) which will take all the moisture out of it.

i tried that on my lg secret, it didnt work though, so i had to pay £25 quid for my claim and got a w705 replacement.

Glad it's sorted, usually, phones still work fine after drying though, I dropped my Sony K750i in the toilet for a few seconds once accidentally, dried it for a night ( or well, I first tried to turn it on after an hour of drying, it worked but froze very quickly) and worked fine for a year after ( and still works)... I would be rather surprised the phone broke after falling into the water.
