It won't switch on but the blue light at the power switch is solid blue. I can't even turn the blue light off. I've tried a hard reset, but nothing. I've left it on charge over night but its still the same in the morning.

Anyone with one of these know what to do? I've looked around the web but couldn't find anyone with the same problem I have.

buy a sony? Much better than the zen as i have both.↲I'd try to re flash the firmware with a pc.

I kinda want my Zen to work as I have over 28gb of stuff on there. Buying another mp3 player right now is out of the question.

Tried it, nothing comes up on the screen. The only activity I've got from it is the blue light. Its just won't do anything else. The blue light is solid, won't even go off.

SUCCESSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I got brave and opened it up. Removed the battery, then pluged it in to the wall charger and it went on! I'm guessing its just the battery that was the problem. :)

Now it just says hardware problem. :( sigh. :/

got past the "hardware problem" display now I'm into the player and can browse the menus and music. I also managed to get it connected to my pc.

Backing up all the music now. Will do a format and upgrade the firmware.

This happened to mine a few months ago, it just wouldn't turn on at all. I thought it was because I bought the refurbished one. Strangely though it just came on one day and its been fine since.

I tend to use my old Zen Xtra jukebox 30gb more though, its so basic, simple to use and has been running solidly for about 8 years. Only problem is there isn't any software for it so I cant add new songs on my vista machine.
