What, slowly and surely up to a maximum speed of 125mph? Or you mean you can now tow a really heavy caravan?

Because one thing a train won't do is accelerate really quickly so actually I doubt it pulls like a train at all, what have you been pulling? :p

Aaah mr fox I've been expecting you

you're sarcastic comments in my thread are .... Inevitable!

Now it's time for you to die mr fox lol

on a more serious note it really does give you a shove in the back as it surges along. I've not driven many cars to compare but the mid range shove from the 400 lb/ft must be amongst the best fast saloons. I'll get some 30-70 times to compare.

Is it rude for me to ask how much you paid all in all? (new parts, remaps etc)

Pleeeassseee :D

remap and filter was £500 ( should have been £700 but a friend called in a favour) exhaust is £800 but I got one 2nd hand from a 888 demo car when they stopped production of the vectras and triple eight wanted rid. Got it for a bargain £160

SMD conversion was £200 from the bloke on the vxronline forums. And the pedals were £30

so I managed to get £1700s worth of mods for £700 fitted after I sold my standard exhaust for £300 on vectra c to somebody with a 2.0t Sri

My god that's more torque than my mates 306 diesel :p

Very impressive results mate, im sure all that extra mid-range power is very very useful!

It's almost as much as the 425 lb/ft of the 335d standard.Obviously the 335d remaps to over 500lb/ft so it's not a fair like for like comparison. But hey mine drinks from the light side of the for...court lol

Why? It'll make virtually no difference on your engine.

Sauce on that? :p

The KV6 is very limited by the inlet plenum but Reidy Remaps can get me an extra 10-15bhp plus a decent amount of torque (can't remember exactly how much) for about £200 - Should take me to 200-210bhps then that's it for performance for now. Just gonna wait for the Lunar Racing plenum to come out :D - That will be VERY exciting indeed!!!

You mean you've spent all that cash and it's STILL no more powerful than a stock diesel? I'm suprised it even moves now with all that power through the front wheels. I don't know why Vauxhall bothered - they should have just done more VXR variants of the VXR8, a car with a platform thats actually designed to handle power rather than handle reps who dont quite sell enough sofas to get an Audi.

I know it's terrible isn't it

I'd have had a vxr8 or a 335 if either were available for anything near the 13k I paid for the vectra. But as neither are even now, still not available for well under 20k the fwd vectra will have to do.

And it didn't have much trouble keeping up with toms 330 over saddleworth moor either so I wouldn't have been vastly better off going for an e39 330.

Difficult yes. There were nearly 200 smds that needed soldering and each only 5mm or so wide.

Fine if you've got the proper tools and are experienced with a soldering iron. But for £200 for the whole job may as well pay somebody to do it

125?

My R19 can pull up to around 140! 1764cc!!

Will do 161 stock, supposedly nearer 170 once mapped

Hmm isnt that faster than a "ltd" BMW fanboi car?

Not that it matters, as you like the car and its your car. What a hellish place it would be if everyone drove BMW's!

Nice result on the remap btw, looks like its made a massive difference to the mid range!
