Battery refurb?

Is this possible?

I've nackered a battery by cranking it too much on a not-too-willing-to-start car - now it won't recharge. Is it just new battery time? Or is there something I can do with this one?

No buy a new one.

Have you checked the fluid levels in it?

New one and sort out the poor starting on your car first.

Check and top up fluid levels then hook up a battery conditioner such as an OptiMate/AccuMate... leave it for 48 hours or more. Should be fine then!

I've been using a battery conditioner to try and recharge it but no luck - I'll try checking fluid levels now ... good plan.

Fluid levels were non-existent - gave it a good topup. Can I possibly dare believe this battery is going to be okay?

Now that the fluid has been topped up, plug it into the conditioner for a while and see if it holds charge.
