Credit Card Limit

Yes you will and you might also get Barclaycard calling you rather annoyed that you have paid money in. Credit card companies don't like it when your account is in credit.

this. they don't like it when you're in credit. makes them question their logic.

Is there a rule preventing you from paying money onto your CC?

If not, how can they phone you and complain? Surely it'd be a case of telling them to walk off a short pier? :p

Er.. no. It might be in the T&C, but definitely there is they can refuse you service or credit any time they want.

So taking that attitude with them will result in you being ******.

As far as I can see in the terms and conditions (of my card), no rules on paying "extra" in. It may not work or succeed, but no actual "rule" saying it cannot be done.

They may complain or call to "clarify" what u did, to see if was a mistake of one too many zeros. I've done it before when the cost of something was more than my limit, paid in more the month before and there was no problems.

If they call and complain, point out that you want a higher credit limit OR let you do what you want. If neither is possible, then tell them you wish to cancel the card. That should focus their minds a little.

Which credit card companies have complained about being in credit?

I've been in credit literally dozens of times and I've never once had a call or anything. I often transfer money (sometimes too much) for a purchase before or at the same time as I make the purchase and not once have they complained.
