A quick question for the motors collective - I am replacing a split CV boot today and want to know whats the best stuff to use to clean out the old grease?

Ive checked my supplies and i have got WD40 and carb cleaner would either of them be suitable? Or could someone recommend something?

cheers

Scoop it out with your hands and rub it all over your clothes, it seems to be the most popular method.

Now thats funny, damm stuff is evil to get off anything.

I usually wipe out as much of the old stuff as I can with a cloth, then add new grease, don't really want to introduce any other chemicals to it.
