Couldn't decide where to put this in the comp forums so just gonna put it in here, mods move if you feel it's better elsewhere.

I was having a play with my own livestream channel tonight (livestream.com), and I was wondering a few things..

1 - If you used it, what settings would you recommend for transmitting? I'm using it to stream gameplay so not overly bothered about it being perfect, just want it to be relatively smooth for viewers.

2- How do I use stereo mixed sound on this?

3 - How much bandwith can I expect it to take up if broadcasting at around medium quality?

Edit: Was told to upload speedtest.net results here so here it is:

meh - usually get 48mbps. on wireless too in my room :p

funny how you still get a better ping

but back on topic - I would expect it depends on the amount of viewers you have. the more viewers the more bandwidth - similar to a torrent I would have thought. You send info to multiple people.

AFAIK, all it does is send the info to a server and it is then distributed from there among your connected users.

I think Stickam is more user friendly.

True but I don't think you can do direct desktop streams from it. Also on Livestream it has a specific function for streaming games.
